Oh Christmas Tree...

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Medford with Clark's brother's family, and on Friday we were able to head up into the mountains to git us a Christmas tree!

I love hunting for trees, and of course, like most activities, being able to bring Luke along makes it extra fun.

Unfortunately, I neglected to bring Luke's snow pants, so he and I stayed back on the packed snow to play while Clark went traipsing through the woods in search of the perfect tree.

Really, Clark?
That's the best you could do??
I see that next time I will have to be in charge of tree selection.

Actually, a tiny tree was just what we wanted...we don't have a whole lot of room in our apartment, plus all of our Christmas decorations, ornaments, etc. are packed away in Las Vegas.
Also, we are taking two weeks off for Christmas and coming to Utah, and won't be around for Christmas at all, so this little guy was perfect for us!

Sorry I threw you under the bus for a second there, Clark.

Anyway, we mustered enough strength to haul it into the back of the truck and took it home, where we adorned it with clumsily-crafted ornaments such as these beauties:

(They are supposed to be icicles. I hope that is obvious, though I am not so sure...and we discovered that paper clips make great hooks!)

(I love that the tree is small enough to fit in a vase!) (:

One string of lights, some mini candy canes, and a tin-foil star later, and we had ourselves a perfectly good Christmas tree!

Beauty, eh?
